Leaf stains in the pool?

Hey all, not sure if this is the correct spot for this post....but here goes.....I'm new to pool ownership via an existing pool at our new home. It's a saltwater pool and initially, the sweeper pump needed to be replaced. So in the mean time, lots of leaves and debris collected on the bottom.....now that the sweeper pump has been fixed, the leaves and debris are gone, but the leaves left stains......there's also stains on the jet nozzles....how do I get rid of these stains?

Organinc (leaf) stains will usually fade over time by keeping the FC at the upper range of the recommended FC/CYA level. You can lift them with a trichlor puck but that becomes impractical if there are a lot of them.

Welcome to TFP!

The tannins in the leaves can leave stains on surfaces. They will normally fade away with proper chlorination. Shocking your pool can speed up the process.

If you will post some test results for us, we can look at your water chemistry and give you some recommendations.
