Crack/hole in bottom of fiberglass attached spa.

I am doing a green to clean and when I drained the spa, I found this ugly repair job. It's the first pool/spa that I've had that is an inground with fiberglass. Can that section be cut out and filled again with matching material, or just covered over with something else?

Fiberglass can be repaired so that it's virtually identical to the original. If you're not familiar with doing it, go around to a few boat repair places and see if they're willing to come look at it. A local pool place might have some contacts that they'd be willing to share.
