do floating pool lights work?

I'm afraid my one aqua luminator isn't gonna quite light up my 27 ft AG like it did my 15 footer..don't wanna empty water at this point to install another one as i do have an extra return. Anyone have any thoughts about the globuoys i think they're called.. do they only light a small area around where they're floating or what? I've never seen them other than in catalogs..

The aqualuminator does quite well on my 30 foot pool, but you should get the LED model - I made my LED model after my halogen burned out - way cheaper than buying an LED conversion kit.

you made your led model? How is that done & what would one need? Is it significantly improved in lighting capacity?
