New Vinyl Liner

I have owned a 16000 gal indoor pool for the past 4 years. I just had a new vinyl liner installed and I am trying to get the water balanced. Over the past 1 1/2 weeks I have been adding Muratic acid and have gotten the TA down from around 230 to 110. However during this process the pH has never gotten any higher than 7.2. For aeration I have two return jets at the "step" which have bubblers built in and I have directed the other two return jets to the surface to create agitition. However it seems that with aeration I can get the pH to return to 7.2 but it doesn't seem to want to go any higher.

I would like to have a slightly higher pH, is it time to start adding soda ash or borax? In looking over records from the past four years, the pool has been very stable at a TA of 120 and a pH of 7.2.
