I am a new pool owner, just got it installed this week and started filling it up. The installer said to make sure you turn the water off if the outside air is cooler than 65 degrees. Why is this important? I am about 3/4 full and was hoping to get it done and the pump turned on so I know it is working properly.

Im no expert. But I remember my pool guy telling me that same thing. I think its because if its to cold outside the vinyl doesnt stretch properly.
I think that's true. They like to install/fill on warm sunny days so it stretches into place.
