Raising ph with aeration, how long ?

Don't want to hijack the thread but...my question is aeration related

Do you think my Barracuda hose shaking the surface for 6-8 hours a day is enough to aerate? I'm always fighting high ph and wonder if this may be one reason? Thanks all, just discovered the site and I'm addicted....Borax this weekend!

Any source of aeration if partnered with high TA can cause the PH to drift up. Keeping your TA between 70-90 helps prevent the drift. Extreme sources of aeration like spas/waterfalls seem to respond better to an even lower TA of 60-70.
