OK so I just picked up a 2nd FAFCO Solar Bear panel and want to plumb the two in parallel (on the ground, next to the pool and filter. The question is to make the conections, is using a WYE (Y) fitting better than a Tee (T) fitting in terms of allowing maximum flow, or does it make any difference?

I can get 2 -1.5" Wye fitting at a total cost of $27 shipped vs. buying two T's at home depot for probably $5-10 bucks and was wondering if the Y's are worth the additional cost?

Ys are better, but the difference is small. What is most important is that both panels get the same amount of water flow. There are several ways to do that, some of which include using Ys, while others don't.
