I have a stainless steel ladder that is stained with what looks like hard water. Is there anyway or anything i can use to bring it back to a shine. I don't want to scratch it.

Try a Magic Eraser on it. It takes a little elbow grease on it but I've gotten amazing results with them.

The Magic Eraser brand is made by Mr. Clean, but there are several knock-offs. It looks a little like a sponge but finer. It's actually melamine. It's original use was for insulation, but somebody (I'm sure some poor factory worker that's not getting one ounce of credit) found out that it was a great scrubber/cleaner and the rest is history.

P.S. When you pick up the package, you'll swear it's empty!
