    MPS and Chlorine

I occasionally shock my spa with MPS and I was wondering if doing that can throw off the free chlorine reading I get when testing?

    Welcome to the forum...

This isn't really my area of expertise but I think the answer to your question depends on how much MPS was added and how long it's been in the water. Check out the two threads below; one covers how MPS works, the other touches more specifically on your issue.

I believe MPS does not affect FC, but will affect CC.
