Just had a new pool finished, I cleaned the copers down with Hydrochloric acid 1 to 5 of water.

I neglected to wash of the excess acid from the pebblecrete & this is the result!!!

Streaky lines down pebble finish

Can I fix it???

Thanks Scotty

Not easily. As you know, the surface is permanently etched from the acid.

It may weather out in time and not be too noticeable...that would be my first thought. I would suggest simply leaving it alone for maybe 6 months or so and then compare it to this current picture. It may be minimized enough you can live with it.

Welcome to TFP!!

Talk to the builder, he may have another idea :!:

I think Dave is right about it, eventually, aging to be less noticeable. You could hasten the process by raising the water level to the bottom of the 'oops' and brush a mixture of acid onto the exposed area to even out the discolorization. This will put wear on the surface, but its an ~unused area, so no one's really gonna notice the roughness

Again, talk to the PB and see if has a better suggestion.

I wish you well with this, please keep us informed :)
