    Using heater in freeze mode?

    Hi all,

I have a new custom spa (separate from pool) with Pentair Intellitouch and a 400k btu gas heater. Everything works fine however when the pumps kick into freeze mode, the heater shuts off. My pool co tells me this is normal and nothing can be done. Maybe Iím crazy, but I like to use the spa well below freezing - can it be possible that this canít be used below freezing? Seems counterintuitive to me that youíd want to kill the heater in freeze mode? Wondering if there is an easy way to just bypass this for a set period of time? Thanks in advance!

You can turn off freeze mode.

Just make sure that the system is set up so that it doesn't need freeze mode.
