Don’t understand how to use a vacuum head

I “get it” in theory. Before I go invest $ on a hose, I don’t know how to hook it up to skimmer and I don’t know how it will pick up these big heavy leaves there are so many..

You should be netting out the bulk of the leaves.

Most skimmer's accept skimmer plates. They go above the skimmer basket and the suction vac hose goes into them. That way the leaves are caught in the skimmer basket. Or you can get a leaf catcher that installs along the hose and also captures the leaves.

You will be suprised just how much suction will be in the vac head. The skimmer doesnt really look like its pulling water in, but it is, now take all that water area of the skimmer and concentrate it into the small hose.
Mine can suck up a leave from a foot away.

Ok can someone send me a link of pics of what I need to buy? I didn’t know about the skimmer plate. And the leaves go in there?
