Bucket test after 6 days.

I did a bucket test on my in ground pool with the pump off for 6 days. The pool showed just under 1" off loss and the bucket just under 0.5" off loss. So approximately half and inch difference. Could the bucket due to smaller surface area show maybe less evaporation? Location is central Florida. Test was done last week.20181117_173127.jpeg20181117_172949.jpg20181117_173043.jpeg
 
In interested in knowing the answer to this. As shown in your pic, it would seem the water in the bucket is more protected from wind than your pool, which could make a difference in evaporation rates.
