adjust pH to achieve best CSI as temp drops?

Pool calculator gives me a better CSI w/ a higher pH at lower temps. Should I keep pH at 7.8-8.0 if that is optimal based on my current water chemistry:

CSI, 0.02
Water Temp 55F
pH 7.9
TA 70
CH 310
CYA 45

CSI is -.27 with pH 7.6 and all else remaining the same. First winter as a pool owner and just want to make sure I don't let anything get out of whack.

The pH normally rises on its own as the water temp drops and that tends to keep the CSI fairly constant. If for some reason this didn't happen with your pool, then yes you could raise the pH somewhat. It's not that big a deal, especially since the water temp is cold so everything slows down.
