Is It OK To "Use" Another's Post?

I have at times viewed a post and know that I have seen the perfect reply posted by someone else on another thread.

While I could replicate that post, in the interest of time it would be quicker to copy and paste another's reply than it would be to type it and make the necessary links.

Is it ok to copy that reply and post it? Should it be credited to the OP?

Post a link to the thread. That is the easiest and most efficient method.

Yep I posted links before...I usually post a disclaimer like “saw this in another post that may be helpful”.

You can link directly to a post by right clicking the post number and copy the link address. Like this: Is It OK To Another's Post?

You could also copy the text and paste it and then click the 'Quote' icon (looks like a text bubble) in the reply window.
