rough plumb drain question

A contractor friend told me that our drain shouldnt be tilting away from the house (only slightly) as the drain slope runs the opposite way. I question his logic as our drain is pump driven, n ot gravity driven right?

Please let me know ASAP!

Thanks in advance!

If the pipe has a slight slope it shouldn't matter that much unless it affects the placement of the cover. The cover should be even with the bottom of the pool. Like you said, it is pump driven so it really shouldn't matter.

It's important for the drain POT to be level or the cover mounting ring used with a hand formed pot to be level. This keeps the drain cover level. The actual line itself is less important in terms of being level and plumb as it makes it's way to the equipment pad.
