Is there any recourse to a plastered over cleaning line in the pool? There are pipes set up for a cleaning line at the equipment side, but no opening in the pool. It's most likely mistakenly plastered over when the pool was resurfaced with pebble tec some years ago. There is no hope of recovering the original architectural plan.

If it is a short run from your skimmer to the cleaning line you could fix a metallic object to a flexible rod like the electricians use. Once inserted you could pick up the position with a metal detector, maybe.
Usually these things (fittings etc) are not mistakenly covered over, in my experience it is due to a problem that was too difficult or expensive to repair so be very careful.
