AG install:vegetation/nutgrass killer?

Installing my own AG pool. I will remove all sod, level ground, and put in sand. Does anyone recommend a vegetation killer during anyone of these processes? One pool "store" I went into recommeneded something from Home Depot. I have also seen nutgrass killer in pool sites since I hear that one is the worst. Any opinions?

Not sure about anyone else, but we used salt, from the feed store....I believe it is used for cattle. We mixed it in the sand, spread the visqueen and it was done. No grass problems since then. For my 24X48 pool we used roughly 100 lbs, which cost about $100.

Solar salt for water softeners is much cheaper and will aslo do fine
