leaf canister question

Hello,

I'm new to the forum, 1st post. Question regarding a Hayward in-line leaf canister. First, the pool is an average play pool with a sand filter and a Barracuda G4 cleaner. The pool and the equipment are in pristine condition almost all the time. Well, this is a small gripe, but I can't stop the leaf canister from floating to the surface all the time. I wouldn't even care except it will float up and fill 1/3 to 1/2 with air and it seems to affect how the G4 performs. The cleaner hose sections are in good shape so I can't imagine where air is getting in.

Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

when the auto-cleaner is put in the pool and the hose if filling up with water hold the leaf canister down until the canister complete fills with water and sinks on it's own. Try that, it's worked for me in the past with other leaf canisters
