SWG Question

If my SWG states that it produce 300ml or 10oz of Chlorine per hour and I run my pump 6 hours a day. How many oz of 6% bleach = 60oz of Chlorine my SWG produce????
Hello kmtyb,

What brand/model of SWG do you have? Off hand, the SWG output doesn't sound right. I believe that my SWG can produce up to 1.45 lbs chlorine per 24 hrs -- that would be just under 1 oz. per hour. There's a rather technical discussion on this forum on this topic. See Chlorine output from SWG. Perhaps someone else here can condense this into a useful formula of xxx oz chlorine = addtional xxx ppm per so many gallons of water.

that would probably be a 30ml(g) per hour

300ml/hour is a commercial unit, and Compuchlor doesn't make those

chlorinators produce 100% chlorine, so to convert it to bleach you would need to multiply by 100 and divide by bleach concentration

so 30g/hour is the same as 0.5L of 6% bleach /hour

maybe they rate their cells in 10% bleach, hence 300ml in their specs
