Good Morning to all,

I was at about a 225 CH. I added 9-10 cups of 94% Calcium Chloride in 2 batches. Dissolved all the small pellets into a 5 gal bucket about 80% full of water...All was dissolved when added to pool - did this twice.

Then put pump on 1750 RPMS and run for about 60-80 minutes...not much of a change in CH. How long does it take to see any upswing?

thanks,

Well hello again! Calcium chloride should dissolve and show up on the test in a couple of hours. Maybe brush a little and retest. Could be the brand that was used? There is usually a number on the product showing the percentage of calcium chloride. One example, actual calcium chloride deicer is usually 94% calcium chloride.
