Pool is crystal clear. I tested 1.0 PPM FC, added 95 ounces chlorine for a target of 5ppm yesterday today 8pm its at 1PPM again. I shocked it previously with 3 gallons of chlorine about a week ago. I checked the CYA it was about 38. Is this normal consumption? Seems high to me compared to last year. In the 90's here with lots of sun.

Most pools use 2 to 4 ppm of FC per day...
If this were my pool I would run an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test.. (OCLT) This is how.. Overnight Chlorine Loss Test Please follow these instructions to the letter..
The OCLT will tell you if your FC loss is due to the sun or if you have something in the water eating your chlorine.
