Hey guys, did a search but couldn't find an answer so her goes...
I closed my pool last weekend
. Brought my chlorine levels up to shock level and added algaecide 60. Although my PH was fine all season long ~7.4 it was greater than 8.5 when I was ready to put the cover on. Alkalinity was 110 (again all season long). The only thing I did different was add the algaecide.
1- Would that cause the PH to rise significantly?
2- Will it harm anything to leave it as is for the winter?
