How long is safe to keep pool open

Hey all,

I have a spill over spa that runs on the same plumbing as my IGP. I live in Long Island, NY.

I want to keep the pool open as long as possible to continue using the spa. At what point does this become dangerous for the pipes?

Can I safely leave it open till the end of October, beginning of November?

Most certainly. Even if there is freezing weather, you can just make sure water is running through all the plumbing and you'll be fine.

On LI I would guess your heavy freeze temps could occur from 12/1 to 3/15. I'm about 80 miles north of you, but as a former LI'er that would be my best guess. Now I see snow anywhere from 11/15 to 4/15...brrr
