    Question about chlorine burn-off

Which do you think burns off chlorine faster, heat or sunlight?

I mean would I be losing more chlorine with the cover on and a higher water temp, or with the cover off and the pool in full sun?

No contest. Sunlight burns up the chlorine quicker.

    Thanks Dave.

BTW I really enjoy having your test kit. My family thinks I'm a kook with how "into" testing the pool I am.

I really appreciate how much you and the others have helped me get a handle on my pool care. It's just sparkling now and we are all enjoying it more than ever (along with our friends and neighbors.) Opening the cover and seeing green is now just the stuff of nightmares for me.
