New pump install advice needed

Hi All,

Hopefully, if my new pump arrives (Espa Iris 1000M) I'll be installing it on Friday and wanted to know if you should or should not use plumbers tape on the inlet & outlet threads on the pump.

Might depend. If you plan on using in/out adapters like the one in THIS THREAD, the O-ring itself might seal nicely. But if you are using a standard adapter, still try to get an O-ring gasket for the male fittings if you can, then use Teflon tape (about 4 wraps), pipe dope or something like Rectorseal can work as well.
