Today, after repairing the broken pvc pipe to one of my returns, I tested the system with the water well below the jets.
3 out of 4 of the eyeball plates had a lot of water spraying around the outside of the disc....these are Swimquip round eyeball plates held on with 4 screws each.
Should there be a gasket undet the cover plate?
