How to store Loop-Loc pool cover and keep safe from mice/rodents, etc.?

Any suggestions for storing a Loop-Loc pool safety cover which will keep the mice/rodents out? We have a mesh bag that the cover goes into, would putting moth balls in the bag deter rodents?

anybody use this Mouse Busters product? http://mouse-busters.com

My pool expert recommends getting a Toter garbage bin and storing it in there. They’re heavy duty, well made and he hasn’t had an animal chew through one yet.

You could put a few Bounce dryer sheets in there as well. It's a classic car storage trick. Mice hate the smell.

will the bounce dryer sheets and/or moth balls damage the Loop-Loc cover material?
