Pentair LX100 automatic system

Recently purchased a home that has an older (14yr) pool & spa. It's controlled by a Pentair LX100 automatic system, however the spa side controller no longer works. Is there any option to fix this without putting updated automation in? A few other things on the priority list to address ahead of upgrading automation. Appreciate any insight.

I assume this is a four button wired controller?? If so, it is just four momentary switches and an LED.. Here is a schematic.. You might be able to kluge some type repair together...

When they get placed to close to the Spa water they get corroded inside and start sending out false commends.. Often there are just shut off.. If only one switch is bad, and the others good, then you can just disconnect the bad switch at the automation system.

Note.. I am not sure your controller is identical to this one, but it should give you a basic idea how they work...

After looking at Jim's diagram and a bit of online research, it appears the controller that's gone bad is an earlier version of the Pentair iS4 remote. Have ordered a new one, will try this weekend and hopefully this solves the issue.
