Help- New pool owner and can't figure out my pump

Hey everyone,
I just bought a house with a 27 foot round above ground pool/ 4 foot tall. I know I have to "backwash" before I add chemicals I guess but there is not a switch on my pump. I don't know how to backwash but I do know what it is. I feel stupid. The woman at the pool store was telling me how to do it but there switch that I am supposed to turn off to let the water clear I don't have on my pump. I don't know if anyone knows about my pool pump, it is ProClean by Waterway, model PCCF 125. It's a cartridge pump.

Most cartridge filters do not have a backwashing setting. Carts are removed from the filter housing and hosed off with a garden hose/hose adapter (brass nozzle type). I'm sure if you google search for your filter information you should be able to find an owner's manual online.

Don't feel stupid. Everyone was a newbie at some point.
