New Pentair Ultra Temp 110 heat pump running in Central, MA

I finished installing the heat pump Sunday and started it this morning before I left for work. Here is a high level view.

We had similar weather yesterday but the heat pump was not running. The water temp went from 51- 54 all day. I'd say it is working.

We could be swimming in MA Saturday, target is 75F.

The pool ended the day at 63 at 6:00pm. Not too bad, an 11 degree increase on a day that didn’t reach 70f air temp.

Well, the weather has not been favorable since Tuesday. 3” of cold rain, temps in upper 40’s to mid 50’s. The pool is at 71 now. A sunny 65 degree day tomorrow may push it up to 75-77. We shall see.

Pool has been 83 every day since 5/2. Heater runs from 9am to noon to recover from the cool nights. We’ve been swimming for a week now.

Approximately how expensive has it been to run it?

Wow, those are some impressive numbers, if it weren't for the spa, we'd probably do something similar.

Well, May cost me about $200, June $125, July $0, August, $75 September...We shal see, It's been running 8 hours a day for a week straight to keep it in the 83-87 range.

What a hoot though, I was in it Sunday night before the Pats game and it was amazing! 85 degrees and steam rising through the LED lights.
We were in it last night, 87, maybe tonight, it is 86 right now.

How is that electric bill holding up? Would you still recommend the heat pump?

I am leaning Heavily towards the UltraTemp 140. I do have an integrated SPA so I am concerned about how long it will take to heat 400 gallons to 95+ degrees
