Convert with solar cover on

Will CL at 15ppm damage the solar cover. What about the heater internals. I'm curious about doing the conversion with the solar cover on to keep CL in and debris out. I'd pour the bleach in front of the pump outlet into the pool to disperse. Any thoughts. What about the Bacqua goo going through the heater.

The high FC level will pose a risk to the solar cover. It shouldn't cause any problems for the heater, as long as the PH is in the proper range. Very little goo should get into the heater, it will be trapped in the filter before it can get to the heater. What small amount does get into the heater will be oxidized away in the latter stages of the conversion.

you want the pool uncovered to allow some gaseous by products of the conversion to gas off. Do NOT use the cover until the conversion is complete.

Plus, sunlight helps to break down the CCs that will form during the conversion process. leave it off.
