Not sure if age has anything to do with it, but seems I'm getting a number of cracks in my pool. We did a remodel in 2007. plaster to pebble. Original pool was built in 1987 if I recall. Most of the cracks are on the edges of submerged bench/beach areas and steps. All are on the edges that bow out, whereas edges that are on bowed in appear fine. I've watched some youtube vids of pools replacing pebble in similar areas.
Is this common? And, being the dumb dyi'er that I am, is patching or even laying in some tile along edges for accent particularly difficult? I do a lot of tiling, but curious if the confines of the pool require a different approach. My wife says we will die in this home, so I tend to be a little more willing to take a stab at certain things knowing I'm the one who has to live with it.
I can post photos of cracks if that helps. Thank you.
Jeff
