Getting close here, ok, 6 weeks away but working on my plan.
Currently I have my heater set on one of those plastic grey equipment pads, worked fine for 3 years but now starting to lean a little which causes all the lines to the filter and pump not fit the best, but did not leak.
Going to have one large pad poured for filter, pump and heater.
But my question is?
Right now all is exposed to the elements without shade.
Sun exposure about 90% of the time.
The clear thread on strainer basket cover for my pump ends up with a split along the cut threads almost every other year which starts to leak, causing me to keep 3 lids on hand, many times on back order so I may not be the only one.
Regardless of how tight or loose I keep them screwed on.
I don't tighten very much because they will tighten after awhile on their own.
Has anybody else had a problem with these lids? and wondering if I should come up with some sort of roof or cover over all the equipment in case it is UV causing the problem.
