New filter replacment for Jacuzzi ST-24 ?

Cracked and leaking filter is Jacuzzi Model: ST-24
Dimensions:
Filtration Area: 3.5 Sq. Ft.
Height: 27 1/4 In.
Tank Dia.: 24 In.
Media Lbs.: Silica Sand
Sand Size: 48
Sand Capacity 350 Lbs.

Pool: In ground, vinyl liner, 18,500 Gals., Pool, filter, pump, all Approx. 10 yrs old.

Bought house about 2 Yrs. ago and filter was already leaking. Filter tub is cracked & leaking badly. Found replacement Jacuzzi tub on net for $340. Problem is that some of the new filters, including the valves sell for less that the tub replacement w/o valves on this Jacuzzi. Thinking that I might as well buy new equipment.

Can anyone recommend a replacement for my filter & valve ?

I would definitely replace the Jacuzzi filter with another brand as Jacuzzi went out of business a few years ago.

Pretty much any 24" or 350lb sand filter will work. If you've got the space you could even go bigger. What size pump do you have, GPM?
