Came home tonight to find this yellow stringy substance floating in my pool. It was easy to collect in the net and I did find some also in the skimmer basket. Can anyone identify what it is?

With us being in Florida the best bet is...................something is growing and it fell in your pool. I have not seen that one. Look around in the yard to see if you can see any on the ground or better yet still in a tree. THEN come back and let us know!

Even more amazing it came through a cage with 20x20 screening! No feel and no smell but I'm confident it was just pollen falling from the large oak trees around the pool. Water is crystal clear, numbers are perfect and it went away after running the skimmer for just a few minutes. Thanks for the quick response Kim.
No, it kinda snuck up on me here. Though it shouldn't be a surprise given the high temperatures lately.
