Hope you are all enjoying swimming and tubbing. I've been a hottub owner for a around 15 years and started with a Bromine regime, switched to Chlorine, tried a few other methods in-between and I am still looking for the perfect water composition and treatment.
I live in a hard water area, alkalinity is around 230ppm in the Winter and drops slightly in Summer, so treatment to maintain the alkalinity buffer is totally necessary, I also brew my own beer so it feels like water chemistry is something I have been trying to get to grips with for a while now.
On some of the brewing forums I frequent there are often heated debates about water hardness of all things - all interesting stuff!
