algae won't go away

Hi there-

I've been trying to rid our pool of algae for about a month now. I have a 33K vinyl liner in-ground and here are the latest readings:

CYA=80
CH= 50
TA= 80
pH=7.4
FC= 12
CC= 12.5

I have been trying to keep the FC level at 15 to get rid of the algae. I've been brushing the pool daily, 2x a day if I can find the time. We are running the filter non-stop. When I shut the filter off, even for overnight once I think I have it cleared up, it seems to grow right on back.

Any tips?

With your high CYA, your shock level is 31ppm. Try that for a few days and you should get some results.

Is CC 12.5 a typo? Did you mean TC? FC + CC = TC

It would be helpful if you added your pool and equipment specs in your sig.
