I have a 3 year old IG pool. Up till now any issues/problems have been small and between the pool company and builder, I've been able to handle them.
I take care of the pool by myself and unfortunately it gets little use. What had me google searching was what I fear may be black algae. I have been battling to clear up a stain around the drain since the pool was open in June (I think that stain is from worms and leaves that wintered on the bottom). I've noticed what looks like dirt or dark staining on the pool bottom. It looks like you should be able to sweep it away, but can't.
I am off this morning to buy a new test kit, and to have my water store tested. When I return I'll share the numbers.
I am having a large party on the 15th, with about 100 people, half of which are from out of town. The "need" to have a swimmable pool is huge!!!!
