Any other disadvantages to a trichlor puck chlorinator.

I've stopped using my chlorinator over a year ago because I had very high CYA. Thanks to a lot of rain and partial refillings, my CYA is no actually quite low (below 30).
I still have quite a few trichlor pucks that I wouldn't mind using and save cost on chlorine bleach the rest of the summer. My pool is finally beautiful. Is this a bad idea?

Two questions?
Is there any other risks associated with using the trichlor pucks and chlorinator besides Increased CYA? I

How much CYA PPM will each puck add to my water?

I know this has been posted here somewhere but I can't find it.

IF you are going to use the trichlor for your main chlorine source for a while then raise your TA to around 100 ppm. When you go back to bleach lower it again if the trichlor has not already done that for you.
