I am a new pool owner, i have a 12000 gallon pool with a t-5 cell, based on what i have been reading i should be using a t-15, the t-5 is fairly new and is working can i do anything like changing settings to make the t-5 work better

if it keeps your FC level, you don't need to do anything
if it's not keeping up - you can increase runtime/output percentage

The T-5 is just a smaller cell which doesn't last as many amp-hours of run time as a T-15.
It still makes chlorine fine.
Just crank it up till you get what you need out of it.
Be sure to check the articles in Pool School for optimizing your water chemistry when using a SWG (i.e. keep CYA high enough) to maximize the life and output of the cell....they ain't cheap to replace
