Debris Cover Nightmare

So, We have the Intex debris cover that came with the pool and I have only put it on twice because every time I try to take it off the water from the rain or from the cover just being on makes it so heavy we can't pull it off unless we dump everything into the pool. Either I'm a major idiot, which could be true, I don't know what I'm doing, or This is not a good cover and we'd be better off with something else.

Help me! PLEASE! :)

Get a siphon pump from Wallyworld or from an automotive store. Input hose goes into the water on the cover, output hose goes on the ground, pump until the water gets going, and let 'er go. Gravity will do the rest.

Or, if you're daring and not afraid of tasting the water on the cover, you can get one long piece of hose, stick one end in the water, suck on the other end until the water gets over the edge of the pool and below the waterline, and then drop the hose. Again, gravity will do the rest.

Edit: Here's links to two of them at Harbor Freight, just to give you an idea of what they look like.

I would just buy a large intertoob from a tire store, inflate it, and at night throw it on top of the water and then the cover. That way the water will run from the middle and out of the pool and you will have no worries.

Cheaper and easier in my mind, but what do I know. I have an inground pool.

Hope that helps.
