i put in algaecide and now i have a bubble bath?

i used cheap hth walmart brand algaecide - it worked, killed the green algae.

but now, anytime we jump or dive in, a bubble bath ensues.

it's been 3 weeks and we're still bubbly.

is there any way to get rid of the bubbles? can i use a foam reducer stuff for a hot tub in my pool?

Adequate chlorine in your pool will likely hasten clearing out the cheal algaecide.

The pricier polyquat 60 algaecide doesn't foam but adequate chlorine is a better algae killer than either of them and won't give you the side effects you are experienceing.

Dave's right, chlorine kills algae, and maintaining proper levels of FC prevents it, making the use of algaecide unneccessary.

Only in certain limited situations do we then even recommend the use of Polyquat 60.
