power consumption and output questions

I'm trying to use the calculator here: http://www.tdconsulting.com.au/bleach1.php but am having a hard time figuring out the power consumption and chlorine output numbers. I am mainly looking at the hayward swimpure (manual here: http://www.haywardnet.com/products/Manu ... ual261.pdf ) but I will take numbers for any swg that anyone feels like posting. thanks.

p.s. I have read the thread that the calculator came out of, and a few others like it

This is ball park but my unit uses about 200 watts to generate chlorine. The spec is 1.45 lbs / day of chlorine which would require 4800 watt-hours to generate. So that is about 0.3 lbs/kwh. I am in tier three so I pay about $0.35/kwh so that is $1.17 per pound of chlorine. There is about a half pound of chlorine in a gallon of 6% bleach so I would say bleach is probably more expensive but that is only for production. It doesn't take into account the initial cost of the unit.

1.45lbs/day = 27.4g/hour

Manual doesn't list power consumption but 200W sounds about right, so you'd enter 0.2 as your power consumption.
