Can you have a vacuum on an Intex Ultra Frame?

I need to do a SLAM and the instructions say

  • Brush and/or vacuum the entire pool once a day
  • Vacuum up debris as needed

The lovely folks who are helping me on the SWG forum confirmed that I really do need a vacuum, not just a brush.

I was wondering how that would work, hose-wise.

Went to Leslie's, and the guy explained that you hook up the hose to your skimmer. I explained that my pool doesn't have one. He didn't think the Intex Ultra Frame and similar pools were really designed to have a vacuum.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Nina

I have a summer waves pool, which is almost identical to an Intek in most respects. Mine came with an attachment that fits over the skimmer basket and creates a port with suction to which you attach a hose for vacuuming. Nothing fancy, but does the job.

The adapter Ter looks like this.
