^^^ That is good advice for anyone building a pool, or almost anything else for that matter. If you can afford it, it's a good idea to add the automation during the initial construction.
In my case, the wireless option was not that big a deal to me because my equipment pad is only 15 feet from my pool and where I store my chemicals and I don't have to walk across mud and grass. Yes, the remote would have made life easier, but it's not a big deal to me.
That said, I still kind of wish I had specified it to my pool builder.
