5ml vs 10ml for TF-100

I purchased the TF-100 XL back in early July and after 2 slams I've already burned thru one bottle of the r-0871.

I try to test FC once per day but find that my results are sometimes inconsistent so I end up retesting in the same sitting. As a result I'm using more of the r-0871.

I've read that sometimes it is ok to use 5ml instead of 10ml. Is that correct? I tested tonight with 10ml and got 14FC, redid the test with 5ml and got 12FC [emoji15]

I really want this kit to get me thru the summer. Any suggestions?

Why are you having to run your FC above 10?

The 5 ml test is acceptable during a SLAM when the error rate is not as critical. At lower FC levels, you should use the 10ml protocol.

With your FC at 10 or higher you can never test your pH.

My FC is still in the process of dropping from my recent slam. I like to leave it at about 8-9FC. I've found that I need it to be on the high side.
