PH and Stabilizer levels

Okay, I'm new to this, and I've got a pool guy whose supposed to do take care of the pool, but since my feeling is that he's not all that "pool educated", I figured I would try to get educated so I could take some of the responsibility myself.

After having said that, I just stuck one of those AquaChek strips in my pool and it came back that the chlorine was fine and the Alkalinity is ok, but the pH is low and the Stabilizer is low. I confronted my pool guy, but he keeps telling me everything is fine. Is it?
If not how do i get all these levels back into the "OK" zone?

Thanks,
Lloyd

Test strips are not accurate. You should get a good test kit TF100 in my signature or a Taylor K-2006. Read Pool School at the top of the page for answers to alot of questions. You take control of testing and managing water and it will save you money and head aches. You won't need the pool guy.
