new pool with cracks in pool decking

We had our pool dug in Nov 2016 and completed last month. Cement for pool decking was done in May
We have crack on the pool decking which is stamped concrete and it runs from coping of pool near deep end to the edge of the concrete. Would this be due to a slow leak in the pool or from a bad concrete job. We had lost 5 inches of water in 36 hours at one point and was told it was because the screws in the skimmers were never tightened. That was about 1 1/2 months ago. Crack is new and didn't find any others like it

Cracks are unavoidable in concrete. But I'd have really thought yours would have followed the control joint and stayed relatively invisible. Do you know what was used to backfill around your pool walls after they finished building it?

I am told gravel. I have pics as the project went on but I don't see where to upload

Wanted to give you some info on the leak, if your pool is still leaking , cut the pump off and see if it stops at the bottom of the skimmer,
