Pool Finally Up

Something still isn't right....I'm not getting those amounts at all.

Please test the PH and TA again with the wallyworld kit. And post the results here.

Your pool is 24' round? How tall are the sides?

24 oz of MA should not have lowered it that much.

The ph is still a little lower than 6.8. The chlorine has come down to about 5.

I have some chemicals that the pool place sold me, but I was hoping to take them back. They actually sold me two ph raising products even though they are the same thing. On is called a balancer and the other an alkalinity booster.

Addition: I decided to use the balancer and put in 2 lbs. I'll check it out around 9 pm.

Update: I went out at 7pm and the ph is now 7.2 and the cl is about 4. I also have the return jet set to where I am getting some areation.

Update: 9pm and the ph is stable @ 7.2 with cl @ 4.0

Update: I have added another 1.5 pounds and will report at 11pm.

Update: 11pm and the ph is 7.5 with cl not 3.0 but lower than 4.0

You guys are awesome!

I just went out and checked my pool. The water has cleared up alot. I have to admit, the Swimway pH Plus helped out.

Ph is 7.5 and the Cl level is 3.

Looks like the test kit that came with my pool cleaning kit was a bit off. The color comparison bars are a bit lighter than the ones on my Wal Mart test kit.

I hope the areation helped too.

My pool is a week old today.

Now the trick is to keep it clear and clean.
